Two GAPO’s have started work on Smurfit Kappa paper recycling plants.
On one site the GAPO is replacing an adapted telehandler that was proving difficult to maintain and struggled to pull full skips up an incline on site. The GAPO has proved its strength and versatility and is in constant use pulling out full skips of waste product and replacing with empty bins.
On the other site the GAPO is being used as an alternative to having a full time hook lift truck on site waiting to move a skip whenever it is full; a huge cost saving in machinery and labour.
